  1. A gecko is any LIZARD of the family 
  2. Gekkonidae. Geckos are common worldwide 
  3. in warm climates, and have large heads and 
  4. short, stout bodies. Many have no eyelids. 
  5. Their adhesive toe pads enable them to climb 
  6. vertically and walk upside down on smooth 
  7. surfaces in their search for flies, spiders, 
  8. and other prey.
