A gastropod is any member of a very large
class (Gastropoda) of molluscs. Gastropods
are single-shelled (in a spiral or modified
spiral form), have eyes on stalks, and move
on a flattened, muscular foot. They have
well-developed heads and rough, scraping
tongues called radulae.
