  1. A gastropod is any member of a very large 
  2. class (Gastropoda) of molluscs. Gastropods 
  3. are single-shelled (in a spiral or modified 
  4. spiral form), have eyes on stalks, and move 
  5. on a flattened, muscular foot. They have 
  6. well-developed heads and rough, scraping 
  7. tongues called radulae.
