  1. A series of codes giving design rules for all
  2. types of engineering structures, except
  3. certain very specialized forms, such as
  4. nuclear reactors. The codes will be given the
  5. status of ENs (European standards) and will
  6. be administered by CEN (European Committee
  7. for Standardization). ENs will eventually
  8. replace national codes, in Britain currently
  9. maintained by the BSI (British Standards
  10. Institute), and will include parameters to
  11. reflect local requirements.
