Australia is 7,682,300sq km (2,966,136sq
miles). Australia's capital is Canberra,
cities include Adelaide, Alice Springs,
Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney,
Hobart, Geelong, Newcastle, Townsville, and
Wollongong. Physically the world's smallest,
flattest, and driest continent with 40%
being of tropics, 30% is desert, and 30% is
marginal grazing. Australia is home to the
Great Barrier Reef whicj is the largest coral
reef in the world, stretching 2,000km
(1,250miles) off the East coast of
Queensland.
