  1. Auckland is the largest city in NEW_ZEALAND,
  2. it's population is around 320,000. It is the 
  3. country's chief port and leading industrial
  4. centre, having iron and steel plants,
  5. engineering, car assembly, textiles, food
  6. processing, sugar refining, and brewing. 
  7. There was a small whaling settlement on the
  8. site in the 1830s, and Auckland was 
  9. officially founded as New Zealand's capital
  10. in 1840, remaining so until 1865.
