Atomic radiation is energy given out by
disintegrating atoms during radioactive
decay, whether natural or synthesized. The
energy may be in the form of fast-moving
particles, known as alpha particles and beta
particles, or in the form of high-energy
electromagnetic waves known as gamma
radiation.
