- Legal and boring Bit-
- ---------------------
- G-LockV2.2© is a copyright© to BzareSoft©
- And BzareSoft© belongs to me Chris McChesney© (heh its my name!)
- You may give G-Lock to all your friend/s as long as all files are
- included. The Installer may be changed to suit complimations-
- P.D. houses please distribute this prog freely as you
- choose- However if you put it on any kind of popular complimation
- i want to know about it (call it pride!) Oh yeah and keep the price
- In the P.D. range!! After all whats P.D. if it aint cheap?
- Oh Yeah I can accept no responsibility for peoples computers
- running off with Elvis, whilst signing happy Christmas naked on a
- moonlight night as they set each other on fire-
- And if you lose your password- its your own fault- see bottom of
- docs to see how to bypass prog!
-
- What is G-lock?
- ----------------
- G-LockV2.2 is the second (well actually 4 th including updated
- versions) in my series of password alternatives.
- Most password progs are formal and dull creatures- i haven't seen
- one in which I would show to my friends-
- So I designed, made and done a better one-
- Its just as secure as the rest (well sorry some do strip your
- hardrive of important files, which means if the installer dont
- work you have to spend hours trying to fix the prob!)
- Well G-Lock is as secure as it gets without altering your
- hardrive too much- Which means if anything does go wrong (never
- happened!) its only a few dos commands and a click away!
- Oh yeah it plays music, samples and has a damm good mod in the
- background.
- It is quite simply FAB- I love you will love it-
- Enjoy
-
- Okay its cool, its funky; but how secure?
- ------------------------------------------
- Lets put it this way- Unless someone is a pretty good at dos,
- has a version of workbench lying around, and is a bit of a whiz
- they dont stand a chance. If you delete it from Wbstartup-
- It copies it self back!
- If you delete every single file in the G-Lock dir-
- it will copy itself back in, with the same password as you left
- before someone tried to delete it.
- Infact the only real way to delete the prog for good is to use
- the deinstall prog provided- called nuts (because you must be
- nuts to use it!).
-
- Ah what about the password then- how do i change it?
- -----------------------------------------------------
- Okay get a pen and a piece of paper-
- Okay good- now draw a......
- Sorry-
- Ahem-
- Okay to get into the menu, run the prog (aint it great?)
- and when it asks for password type "menu"
- once you have done this you will be presented with a menu screen.
- (funnily enough!)
- They are various options available- for example credits, help
- screen, and change password.
- Pick change password one..
- It will ask you do you wish to proceed, type y or yes.
- It will then ask you for the old password- if you just got the
- prog its Glock.
- Okay when it asks you to insert new password PLEASE REMEMBER to
- use only a password which is NO and NO LESS than 5 letters.
- The reason for this is because of a stupid Amos routine.
- So a password like Help would be acceptable-
- however ronnie for example wouldn't-
- If you did put ronnie in the password would be the first 5
- letters thus it would be "ronni".
-
- REMEMBER SPACES COUNT AS A LETTER- SO IF YOU WANT TO USE A FOUR
- LETTER PASSWORD SIMPLY TYPE YOUR PASSWORD FOLLOWED BY A SPACE
- WHEN ENTERING IT-
- Its stupid I know. But I cant get around it- Guess who's moving
- to Blitz Basic!
-
- What happens if I forget my password?
- --------------------------------------
- You numpty-
- Then i guess you are doomed to listen to my Dont do it again
- screen forever!
- Shame really.
-
- Okay just kidding- You can delete G-Lock if your armed with your
- workbench disk.
- Okay load from floppy WB.
- Then go into shell once it has loaded and type-
- assign sys: <partition name i.e. dh0>:
- example-
- assign sys: dh0:
- then-
- assign c: sys:c
- assign s: sys:s
-
- Once you have done this- come out of shell.
- Go into your workbench partition and find G-lockv2.2-
- It is hidden- so you will have to do a show all.
- Go into this drawer and execute Nuts 2.2-
- It will ask you some questions (like why are you nuts?)
- and will proceed to delete the prog-
- Not simple- But secure-
- its better this than all of your C commands missing!
-
- Cheers, all is noted, my letter is in the post- who made it
- anyway?|-----------------------------------------------------

- Friends & thanks bit-
- ----------------------
-
- Hello to all my minions, who follow me- in other words friends-
- Only the Amiga owning ones get here-
-
- Hi Peter, Tam, Holly, Martin, Dom,-
- Oh yeah welcome aboard Paul- Hopefully the next Mod will be
- yours!
-
-
- The Amiga Computer
-
- The Amiga was once the world leader.
- Everyone had one, or knew someone that had one.
- It had left the St and all other companies in the shadow.
- However Commodore made a few mistakes and now there's a
- chance that the Amiga may never recover.
- However this doesnt need to be the case.
- The Amiga is a damn good computer- If not the best-
- Sure software isnt exactly floading in, sure moral
- is bad- and perhaps the Amiga wont be able to rise again.
- But me personaly Im going to wait for the return-
- The Amiga is a survivor- and always will be-
- It is the only computer in the world that isnt supported by
- company's- but rather the respect and loyality each one of her
- users give her. Perhaps that is all that she needs.
- However, im gojng to wait the the return- Which im sure will
- happen- after all the Amiga has been doing for years that
- P.C's are only catching up on!!!
-
- If a new Amiga is to come around- perhaps it shouldnt be called
- the Amiga 1300 or whatever- but rather the Amiga phoenix-
- A legendary bird that can be killed- but always rises from the
- flames a fresh and strong as ever.
-
- Amiga Intel Outside! Welcome to the Revolution!
-
- P.S.
- Howdy to Amiga Format and C.U. Amiga-
- Keep the dream alive- dont let the Amiga become the 90's
- spectrum- And dont die out like other Amiga mags-
- You are all that remains from the once market leader-
- Stick with it- It will reward you one day-
-
- Besides P.C. owners may laugh at the decline of our machine-
- Theirs decline the min they buy them- As long as P.C. owners are
- gullible to be continually ripped off for the "Latest technology"
- they will keep the P.C. alive, but keep killing the machines-
- Its a vicious circle- and Intel and IBm have them where they want
- them-
-
- See ya- thanks for reading this far hearing someone else preach
- cant be a lot of fun- But heh thats what a democracy is all about!
-
- Cheers-
- Chris McChesney-
- g-Lockv2.2 97
