- Some things during development of Plotter3D went wrong. Please read the
- following lines carefully.
-
-
- If you had a closer look on all the files that come with the Plotter3D
- archiv you may have seen that the most textfiles refered to version 2.xx
- but the main program is only 1.xx. This may has caused some confusion and
- all these files are corrected now.
- Let me say it again: There was never an version 2.xx of Plotter3D. I don't
- know why but I started the history and whats_new file with version 2.80.
-
-
- Some users claimed that the last new versions (I think since 1.90) became
- very unstable on 68060 cpu's and caused heavy crashes. There's nothing I can
- do at the moment because I doesn't own an 060-board. But during christmas
- holidays I hope I can perform some test on an A4000 with 060 of my friend
- (Hi Markus :-) and hopefully I can fix the problems.
- The following problems are reported:
- Plotter3D crashes or hangs if you play a little bit with the windows.
- This may be caused by an yet undocumented MUI function that is used by
- Plotter3D.
- Plotter3D crashes immeditly in realtime mode if you select the Go-Button
- or if the screen is opened. The first one can be caused by an bug of the
- math-libraries of OS3.1. An user reported me this with an 040 and
- recommended to use MathPatch.lha from Matthias Scheler or MCP. Maybe this
- also fixes the problems with 060-cpu's.
- The only thing I can say is "sorry". Currently Plotter3D does not cause any
- enforcer-hits on my 030 and I have no clue why the program crashes on 060
- because I does not use any fancy assembler-commands. Maybe these errors only
- occur in conjunction with special 060 cache-modes.
- Please, be patient. Hopfully an fixed version arrives on Aminet at the
- beginning of january.
-
-
- If you send me an bug-report, please add an description of your system
- (including os-version and fancy patches). Thanks.
