  1. This drawer contains AmigaDOS version 1.3 printer drivers for the IBM 4201
  2. Proprinter (U.S. and International versions) and the IBM 4202 ProPrinterXL 
  3. printers.  These drivers down load an italic font during the initialization 
  4. process to support aSGR3 (italics on) printer commands.

  6. The important files in this drawer are:

  10.     USProPrinter    - Printer driver for the US 4201 model
  11.                       (narrow carriage, no international characters)
  12.                       
  13.     ProPrinter    - Printer driver for the International 4201 model
  14.               (narrow carriage, full international character set)
  15.               
  16.     ProPrinterXL    - Printer driver for the 4202 model
  17.               (wide carriage, full international character set,
  18.                margins, proportional spacing)
  19.     
  20.     CopyMeToPAR    - this is a preformatted user's guide, similar to
  21.               the PRINTER DRIVERS section of the AmigaDOS 1.3
  22.               manual.  Assuming your ProPrinter is connected
  23.               to the parallel port, you can click on the 
  24.               "Print Doc" icon to copy this user's guide to
  25.               PAR:.  (If your ProPrinter is connected to the
  26.               serial port, you will have to use a text editor
  27.               to change PAR: to SER: in the "Print Doc" script
  28.               file.)

  30. INSTALLATION -

  32. Click on the printer icon that corresponds to your model of ProPrinter.              
  33. The appropriate file will be copied to devs:printers.  Use Preferences to
  34. select the correct printer and you're ready to print.
