1. History of Guimo
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In the Paithon system, a pacific group of beings forming a pacific
civilization lives in an universe parallel to our, the Beta-Universe.
Many of these beta-inhabitants are known by all the terrestrials as the
good and wicked characters from the electronic games. That's the only
way humans can have contact with these brother-beings.
However, something terrible has occurred in Bitland, parallel world of
Earth. The beta-beings seem to be deemed to extinction, bringing chaos
and blowing off the harmony between both worlds.
According to the last information supplied by the sentinels, an entity
violated the elementary laws passing through the dimensional threshold
between both universes, bringing a great risk of a existential paradox
with unknown consequences on Earth and its brother-planet BitLand.
This entity, known as Necterion, after conquering BitLand with his
army, declared that intends the destruction of the human universe,
acquiring, so, enough energy to dominate every mind.
But fortunately still exists a hero who can face Necterion and restore
the peace...
...GUIMO!
The most fearless and prepared sentinel trained to fight the disorder.
But the danger that is around us continues yet, to win the evil
Necterion the forces of both brother-worlds are necessary, thus...
Join Guimo!

3. Game Setup
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Guimo, unlike other games, have no setup program. It sets itself up
automatically, auto detecting a Sound Blaster sound card or 100%
compatible.
However, if your machine isn't correctly configured, the sound card
can't be detected. See "sound problems" in this manual if you had one.
To customize game features, like difficulty, sound and music settings,
you must use the "setup" main menu option, then shoot the correspondent
switches:
______________
| | Change the music volume
| MUSIC VOL | (NONE, LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH(*))
|______________|
______________
| | Change the sound effects volume
| EFFECTS VOL | (NONE, LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH(*))

___ Note: ___________________________________________________________

| Sound Quality - more quality, less performance |
| Graphics Quality - same as above |
| Difficulty Level - only the HARD level decreases performance |

4. Level Selector
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
To play, first select the play option in the main menu. The level
selector will appear, so you can select the level you wanna play. Use
the direction controls to move the level selector balls, from left to
right and vice-versa. You can start the level with the fire control.
After you finish a certain level, the correspondent ball will not be
available anymore, in the current playing section. To win the game, the
player must to complete all levels in the same playing section!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
5. Save/Load
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In level selection you can use the direction controls up and down to
save your current playing section or load a previous playing section.
This actions allows you to store and recall your score and status, as
the levels you already completed. To save or load a playing section,
choose the appropriated ball and press fire.
-=-=-=-=-=-
6. Map
-=-=-=-=-=-
Guimo offers a special feature to the player, called Overall Map.
Holding the [Tab] key you can see the map and the radar range. This map
is a miniature of the whole level.
The map helps the player to find the best paths, and the radar helps
to collect PowerUps and watch the enemy's movements. Keep in mind that
the game won't stop while you are viewing the map, and you still can
move and shoot!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
7. Kid Mode
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In Kid Difficult the player can activate an "auto-pilot" mode that
helps the kids to move around the game.
Pressing the [Enter] key, the message "Kid Mode ON!" will appear in the
upper right corner. You can now use the direction keys to tell Guimo
which direction you want him to go (up, down, left or right).
After a while, the message "Kid Mode OFF!" will appear indicating the
end of the movement. You can stop Kid Mode execution by pressing
[Enter] while it is on.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
8. Controlling the Eggy Robots
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Eggy Robots are intelligent, so you can't control them directly.
However, you can tell them where to go!
To do so, Guimo and the robot must be near and facing each other. Hold
the [Control] key, and press the desired direction key. If a message
appear on the screen, the robot heard the order.
