The directory Snaps contains photographs taken by Acorn members of staff,
which have been transferred to a Photo CD.
To view an image run ChangeFSI (located in the Acorn directory).
Drop the file onto the ChangeFSI icon on the icon bar. In the case of PCD
files the standard resolution (or base) image will be displayed.
To display the higher or lower resolution PCD images set the variable
ChangeFSI$PCDIndex to read resolutions other than base. To do this press the
F12 key and at the command line and enter
SET ChangeFSI$PCDIndex <num>
where <num> is 1 for thumbnail, through to 3 for base, 4 for four times
base, and 5 for 16 times base resolution.
Note: !ChangeFSI has been modified so that JPEG images can still be decoded
if !ChangeFSI is run from a CD ROM. However it needs to write a temporary
file when decoding Photo CD packs (file type PCD). !ChangeFSI should
therefore be copied to a hard disc or floppy disc, and run from there,
prior to decoding a Photo CD pack.
