  1.                                  PHOTOBASE
  2.  
  3. PhotoBase Multi-media is a specially designed resource manager / database
  4. for visual materials. It can handle many thousands of files on any drive, 
  5. integrating them into a single resource library.
  6.  
  7. The software was developed at Homerton College, Cambridge and is published
  8. by Longman Logotron Ltd.
  9.  
  10.                                   PBVIEW
  11.  
  12. PBview is a read-only demonstration version of PhotoBase. It can  handle
  13. various bit-image files - Sprites, GIF, TIFF, JPEG, PCD - as well as  Replay
  14. video and Replay sound + picture files. 
  15.  
  16. It can, however, only be used with material which has already been indexed 
  17. using a fully-functional copy of PhotoBase Multi-media. Unlike PhotoBase 
  18. proper, it cannot be used to index new material, edit existing material or 
  19. save 'filmstrip' sequences.

  23. Current PhotoBase CD titles include LANDSCAPES, SCIENCE, the VICTORIANS and 
  24. the Hulton Deutsch DECADES series - 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s
  25. CDs.
