PYRAMID is the newest in GRAPHIC games from RNBB Technologies
for PCBoard systems which which utilize version 14 or greater.
---------------
Features of PYRAMID:
o Allows sysop to add or subtract time by use of the UP/Down arrow keys
o Adds fantastic graphics to play. Graphics have proven to draw more
users back to the game.
o Time is automatically added or subtracted from the time the user has
spent on your system that day.
o Detects Loss of carrier
o Can operate at speeds up to 38400 Baud
o Will automatically log user off after 4 minutes of no keyboard activity
o Can be operated in a MultiNetwork Board
Why: Pyramid was written to satisfy Bob Simpson and Becky Pickles desire
for a quality Hi-Lo game. The idea is derived from the old game of
Hi-Lo and retains most of its simplistic values.
Setting up Pyramid:
Setting up Pyramid is very simple and straight forward. If you have
set up other PCBoard doors then you will have no problem at all with this
door. This door may not work with conversion routines provided for other
types of BBS's. It has only been tested on PCBoard 14.x systems.
You first need to create a directory from which Pyramid will run
from. Next copy all the files contained in the Pyramid(x).zip file to that
directory.
(ex. D:\PCB\DOORS\PYRAMID\ )
Next you will need to create a configuration file. Below are samples
provided:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PYRAMID.CNF (PYRAMID1.CNF of PYRAMID2.CNF for multinodes)
D:\PCB <- The dir where you BBS files reside for node
RNBB Technologies <- The Name of your BBS
1 <- Must be a "1" for PCBoard operation
NOTE: (This file goes in the Pyramid directory)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next you will need to create the PYRAMID batch file that PCBoard will call
when the door is selected. Below is the example of this file. You will
need to change it to work with your particular system.
PYRAMID
_______
@echo off
D:
CD \pcb\doors\pyramid
Pyramid Pyramid.cnf
CD \pcb
Board
NOTE: (This file goes in your PCBoard directory)
Now place the PYRAMID file in your BBS directory.
The last thing left to do is to add PYRAMID to your PCBoard Doors file.
The PCBoard documentation should help you with this if you have any
problems.
Your now all set to run PYRAMID !!...

* Pyramid * Maintenance Program
*
The last thing to get you going is the program included in the zip files
called p-maint.exe (Pyrmaid Maintenance Program). If Run daily this
program will clean out all users that have not signed on for the
specified amount of days. (This program is provided free, despite the fact
that I wanted to hard code it in Pyramid and make it available for
registered users only, however, out of the kindness I have found in
BBS operators, It is Provided FREE)....
To continue... The p-maint.exe program must be run from within the
Pyramid directory. to run it in a batch file you would run it like
the following example:
cd d:\pcb\doors\pyramid
p-maint 30
cd:\pcb
You must place the number of days before a user is erased from the listing
to the right of p-maint. ie...(P-MAINT 30) would mean to clear any user
who had not been on for 30 days or more.
If the database (User File) is empty P-Maint will tell you that it has
nothing to do, and if you forget to supply a number of days it will
default to zero and will not do anything.

READ ABOUT EXTRAS WHEN YOU REGISTER BELOW....
Stuff No One Ever Reads: (and I hate to write)
Now for the part you probably don't want to read...
PYRAMID is Shareware. You are granted a THREE week trial period in
which you may evaluate PYRAMID. If you continue to utilize this
product you are required to register it with the author. If you do not
register PYRAMID within the required timeframe allowed, You are
REQUIRED to remove it from your board.
This program is not crippled in any way. It is however not full featured
as this is a demo version.
If you register your copy of PYRAMID, you will receive a registration
file called PYRAMID.REG, Which will allow you to place your registered
name in the appropriate places when PYRAMID is played. Once registered
PYRAMID will also create two bulletin files (BLT and BLTG) which can be
used as bulletins from your board.
And the most important part of registering is that you will have peace of
mind knowing that you did. The Non registered version and cost of the
program will not be displayed on your screen anymore either, and you will
be credited on the closing screen for supporting door authors and
shareware.
