  2.     PMCAT PLUS files and a few words about this diskette:
  3.  
  4.     The file PMCAT56 is a distribution archive of PmCat PLUS. DO NOT MIX
  5.     these files with any other PMCAT archive.  The filenames have been
  6.     altered because certain features are disabled in the distribution
  7.     copy (not crippled in any way, though). The features that remain
  8.     active at all times do not interfere in any way with the proper
  9.     functioning of PmCat PLUS.
  10.  
  11.     PMCPL56.EXE (or PMCP56DS.EXE) is the core program of PmCat+.  You
  12.     may rename this file to anything you wish as long as you keep the
  13.     '.EXE' extension.
  14.  
  15.     PMCPL56.OVR (or PMCP56DS.OVR) is essential to the operation of PMCAT
  16.     and MUST be either in your path or in the same directory from which
  17.     PMCAT+ was run.  The name of this file MUST NOT BE CHANGED, or
  18.     PmCat+ will not run.
  19.  
  20.     PMCPLX.DOC is the complete documentation for PmCat+.  You should be
  21.     able to PRINT it from the DOS command line or from any utility you
  22.     use to do this sort of operation.

  24.     PMLIST.COM - The program I've included for purposes of viewing files
  25.     is actually called R.COM and was provided to me at my request for a
  26.     public domain text viewer.  I renamed it to PMLIST.COM solely so you
  27.     wouldn't see this file (r.com) hanging around with no docs and
  28.     delete it inadvertently and then begin to wonder why PMCAT+ no
  29.     longer functioned! I would encourage obtaining a registered copy of
  30.     Gil Yoder's ML.  ML, which has mouse support, is included with the
  31.     PmCatPLUS distribution package by arrangement with Gil Yoder. 'TYPE'
  32.     no more!

  34.     PM-ORDER.FRM is the invoice style order form for PmCat+.  If you
  35.     would like a copy of it, please send two copies when you register
  36.     and I will mark one of them PAID and return it to you with the
  37.     disk(s) you recieve.

  39.     PLEASE NOTE:
  40.  
  41.         Registered users  receive a slightly different version (one
  42.     in which the HELP line may be toggled, the Title Screen may be
  43.     toggled and the closing screen message will be absent).

  45.         They will also receive a utility (PmConvert) which allows
  46.      conversion of older PmCat data files to the newer format.

  62.     special area of the Coalgate BBS from which they may obtain a
  63.     registered copy of the very latest version of PmCat PLUS at any
  64.     time.

  66.         Anyone, registered or not, may access the Coalgate BBS and
  67.     download files on their first visit.  The design of the BBS software
  68.     prohibits public messages till after validation (which *can* be done
  69.     on your first call if I happen to be in the neighborhood).

  71.         Additionally, the Coalgate BBS will serve as a similar home base
  72.     for Gil Yoder's programs, SCRIPTURE, WINDIR, ML, MLX and others
  73.     which are in the works.
