BASIC NAVIGATION
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
To select a command from a menu,
highlight it with the RIGHT or LEFT arrow key and press ENTER,
or type the first letter of the command.
To highlight the first command on the menu, press HOME.
To highlight the last command on the menu, press END.
To go from one menu to the previous menu, press ESCAPE.
To toggle options on the Copy, Print, and Settings Menus and to
select words from a wildcard list, press the space bar.

1. Press F10 if you are in the Browse Screen and the Browse Menu is
not displayed.)

HOW TO ENTER A QUERY - General Information (continued)
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
* Some non-alphanumeric characters are treated as spaces in a query.
They are listed in the Info file. Select Info from the Log Menu.
* A phrase in a query can be no longer that 4 words. A query can be
up to 10 words long, not including Boolean operators.
* Refer to previous queries by typing a number sign (#) and log
entry number of the previous query.
* A list of masked words, which you can not use in a query,
such as "the" and "a" appears in the Information Screen.

Whenever you receive a new Computer Library CD-ROM disc, you should
view the Information Screen to become familiar with features of and
enhancements to Computer Library.
To display the Information Screen:
1. Select Info from the Log Menu.
2. Use the UP, DOWN, PGUP, PGDN, HOME, and END keys to scroll
through the Information Screen. Press ESCAPE to return to the
Log Screen.

To copy, view, or print an attached file:
1. If there is more than one attached file, press the TAB key to
select the one you want.
2. Press F10 to display the Browse Menu.
3. Select Attachment.
Alternatively, you can press ALT-A to perform Steps 2 and 3.
4. Use UP or DOWN to highlight the view, copy, or print option and
press ENTER.
5. If you chose the copy option, type the path and file name into
which you want to copy the file and press ENTER.

To return to the Log Screen from the Titles Screen, select Log from
the Titles Menu. Alternatively, you can press ESCAPE.
To return to the Log Screen from the Browse Screen, press F10 to
display the Browse Menu and select Log. Alternatively, you can
press either ALT-L or ESCAPE when the Browse Menu is not displayed.
To return to the Log Menu from the Maintain Menu, either select Log
from the Maintain Menu or press ESCAPE.

The Maintain command allows you to perform several operations related
to log entries:
Domain Specify a search domain

Log Return to the Log Menu

To mark a title or document for inclusion in a new log entry:

Clear to remove the mark from a title or document
Save to save the marked documents in a log entry

2. Select Setting.
Alternatively, you can press ALT-S to perform Step 1.

TITLES

To display the Titles Screen, select Titles from either the Log or
Browse Menu and press ENTER.
Alternatively, you can press ALT-T when the Browse Menu is not
displayed.
The titles of the documents that contain matches to your query
appear.
An asterisk (*) appears before the journal name if the document
contains the full text of the article.
