  2. APCiDOOM v5.5 is a freeware utility for 
  3. DOOM or DOOM II.  It is the client
  4. software that allows high-speed modem
  5. users to play FOUR PLAYER true network
  6. modem DOOM via the APCi MultiPlayer Game
  7. Server.  It features a chat utility that
  8. enables players to chat and change WAD
  9. files/settings before and between games.
  10. Supported modes are modem, serial link,
  11. and IPX.  Proper operation requires DOOM
  12. v1.9 or DOOM II v1.9 or later.  The
  13. MPGS is *NOT* required to use APCiDOOM.
  14. APCiDOOM v5.5 was released on 3/21/95.
