  1. Eight files should be enclosed in DATCON10.ZIP. They are:

  3.     DATA.EXE          the windows executable file
  4.     HELP.HLP          the windows help file
  5.     DATA.INI          the initialization file
  6.     LOGTILE2.BMP      a bitmap that can be tiled as a background
  7.     TSOFLOG2.BMP      a bitmap that can be tiled as a background
  8.     REGISTER.TXT      An ASCII text registration form
  9.     CHNGADDR.TXT      An ASCII text change of address form
  10.         README.TXT        This file
  11.  
  12. DATCON10.ZIP can now be deleted from your hard disk. Remember to
  13. keep a copy of DATCON10.ZIP for backup purposes.

  15. The easiest way to put DATA.EXE in to your Program Manager is by 
  16. opening Windows' File Manager and Program Manager at the same time,
  17. with one on one side of the screen and one on the other. Then 
  18. highlight DATA.EXE by pressing the left mouse button. While still 
  19. holding the left mouse button down, "drag" DATA.EXE onto the spot 
  20. in Program Manager where you want it stored. Then release the left 
  21. mouse button and the icon for Data Conversion will be displayed. The 
  22. program can now be executed by double-clicking on the new icon.

  24. The two files LOGTILE2.BMP and TSOFLOG2.BMP are bitmaps that can
  25. be tiled as Windows backgrounds. They should be stored in the same
  26. directory as your other background bitmaps. However, they are not
  27. required, so they may be deleted.

  29. The file REGISTER.TXT is an ASCII text file that can be printed
  30. and completed to register this copy of Data Conversion. The file can 
  31. be printed using your favorite word processor or by typing TYPE 
  32. REGISTER.TXT > PRN and hitting RETURN from a DOS prompt if you have a 
  33. dot matrix printer. If you register this version of Data Conversion, 
  34. you will basically be supporting shareware and make us very happy.
  35. It will also aid in the continued development of shareware. Your name 
  36. will be entered into our database so you can be notified when new
  37. versions are released. Another text file, CHNGADDR.TXT can be used
  38. to notify us if you move. The two above mentioned TXT files files
  39. are not essential to the execution of the program so they can be 
  40. deleted when you are finished with them.

  42. Data Conversion should be stored in its own subdirectory. However, it 
  43. can be stored anywhere. It does not have to be stored in you path. The
  44. initialization file MUST be stored in the Windows directory, the 
  45. directory that contains WIN.COM. This file is only required if CALC.EXE
  46. (Windows Calculator program) is not stored in the same directory as 
  47. DATA.EXE, the Windows directory, the Windows System directory, or in
  48. your path. The program will work without the initialization file, even
  49. if it is needed, but the calculator cannot be executed from Data 
  50. Conversion.
