- Yes, I couldn't get it to work. No, Its RAS (async Netbeui), and not PPP.

- Subject: MS TCP/IP VxD beta w/ SLIP?
-
- I'm downloading the Microsoft VxD TCP/IP beta for Windows for Workgroups 3.11
- right now, and I'm wondering, will it allow SLIP access on a standalone
- machine? If not, no big loss I guess, since Trumpet Winsock has a built-in
- SLIP driver and dialer.

-
- I gather from Microsoft that there is neither slip nor ppp
- there in VxD.
-
- How would you use their VxD and PT's slip and dialer??
-
- Cheers

- Subject: xservers and xclients display problem
-
- I am running trumpet winsock to a slip connection to a SparcII running
- SunOS 4.1.3. With the xwindemo (microx) I am trying to have an xterm
- display it on my pc over the modem.
-
- How can it make my pc "friendly" to the Sparc station, so that my
- pc will allow the xterm from the sparc to be displayed on my pc ?
-
- thanks
