- I would like to use Winsock to "link" two systems (through a third?) Will
- Winsock (The idea just popped up, and I havn't looked in the docs?) work with
- two serial SLIP connections? Basicly LINUX --> Winsock machine <-- Amature
- Radion System?
-
- Just a though? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

- Subject: Newbie questions...
-
- After looking through the newsgroup and not finding a FAQ I have a few
- questions for anyone willing to help:
-
- 1. I need to write some network apps under windows 3.1. The current
- network software is ChameleonNFS. I have a windows SDK (MS Vis. C).
- What else do I need?
-
- 2. I, like everyone else it would appear, have had a terrible time trying
- to get a hold of people at NetManage. Besides this group, what are
- some other good sources of info that may help me.
-
- 3. Is there some kind of FAQ? I have looked through all of the articles
- at my site, and wasn't able to find one. I realize that these questions
- have probably been asked/answered hundreds of times so I would like
- to get my hands a FAQ to avoid wasting bamdwidth like this...
-
- Thanks,
-

- I understand from Mr. Junod that the source to his post-November updates is no
- longer available on FTP. However, he will continue to update the program,
- which he has been faithful to do in the past.
-
- I am new to Windows programming and would like to have the latest versions of
- the source, but am grateful that any version of his source code is available.
-
- Sorry for the bad news,
- John.

- Subject: telnet clients . . . again
-
- I've been using the telnet client that comes with QVTNET.
-
- A recent poster notes that once the QVTNET "main program" is running, the
- TNSTART program can initiate a telnet session; and thus it can be plugged into
- HGOPHER.
-
- Here are some questions though:
-
- 1. Can you specify the port number with TNSTART? Apparently not.
-
- 2. It would also be nice to be able to request a certain configuration with
- TNSTART. The keymapping feature of QVTNET's telnet client is nice, but
- apparently one can't specify that TNSTART begin with a certain specific
- configuration. (?)
-
-
-
- I'm particularly keen on the keymapping, since our library uses a Saber
- front-end to their CDROMs, which inexplicably expects obscure sequences like
- ESC D for "arrow down," rather than good ol' VT100 sequences, etc.
