  5. WinProxy  allows you to connect your entire local network to the 
  6. Internet,  through  one  (dynamic) IP address. WinProxy supports
  7. HTTP,  FTP,  GOPHER,  SSL  (HTTPS),  Telnet,  NNTP,  SMTP, POP3,
  8. Real Audio,  Mapped Links and SOCKS protocols. It also  features
  9. shared   cache,   dial-on-demand,  user/group   management,  URL
  10. restricting,  logging,  and  more. WinProxy  supports also proxy
  11. cascading and configuration through www browser.

  29. Installation

  32. WinProxy 1.4 system requirements:
  33.  
  34. - Windows 95 or Windows NT.
  35. - Properly configured TCP/IP on the main computer running WinProxy, 
  36.   and  on  the  computers using WinProxy through the main Computer.
  37.  
  38. It runs as a normal process, and/or as a service under Windows NT.
  39. After installation  WinProxy  should  be  able  to  run as a proxy 
  40. server. To  try it, set  proxy in your browser to the host running
  41. WinProxy. The port number is 3128.

  43. Configuration is now performed through forms of web interface. Its 
  44. address  is  http://host:3129/admin  where "host"  is the computer 
  45. running WinProxy.

  47. Warning: This  program  work properly only on filesystem with long 
  48.          filenames support.

  54. The License Conditions for WinProxy Software
  55. /hereafter just "the software"/
  56.  
  57. The  demo  version  of the software limited  to  2  users  and  3
  58. mailboxes is freely available for being copied and given  to  the
  59. third persons or firms.
  60. The demo version activated by the time-limited key is allowed  to
  61. be used just on one computer for the period the key is valid. The
  62. demo   software  may  be  used  only  for  testing  the  product,
  63. presentation  or  training. Other ways  of  using  the  software,
  64. especially for commercial purposes, are not allowed.

  66. Paying the license charge /=the registration/ creates a claim  to
  67. get   an  activation  key.  The  registered  software  /with  the
  68. registration key/ may be used on maximally one computer; it means
  69. just one IP address.
  70. The  user  undertakes not to provide the activation key to  other
  71. persons  or  firms.  The user also undertakes  to  safeguard  the
  72. activation  key  against the unauthorized use.  The  producer  or
  73. distributor are allowed to check the legality of the software use
  74. by  technical  means. The control includes detecting  the  user`s
  75. name,  the  company  name  and the IP address.  The  producer  or
  76. distributor  are  not  allowed to  detect  any  other  data.  The
  77. detected  data  must  not  be used for any  other  purposes  than
  78. checking  the  software  and must not be handed  over  the  third
  79. persons.
  80. In  case of detecting a multiple use of the activation key it  is
  81. possible to require an indemnification for the damage and to foil
  82. the use of the activation key without any compensation.

  84. The  user  is  not allowed to decompile or change  the  software,
  85. include it or its parts into another software and distribute  any
  86. products created this way.
  87. The  producer  claims  the  right for small  differences  of  the
  88. software from the description in the user`s guide.
  89. The buyer declares that he had an opportunity to acquaint himself
  90. with  the  features of the software through the time-limited  key
  91. and  therefore he buys the software without reservations  "as  it
  92. is".
  93. Nor the producer and the distributor guarantee the suitability of
  94. the  software  for  a  concrete use. Nor  the  producer  and  the
  95. distributor  are responsible for any damage caused by  using  the
  96. software.
  97. In  case  the  producer or the distributor were  condemned  by  a
  98. competent judgement to indemnification for the damage, the amount
  99. of it must not exceed the price paid by the buyer.

  101. The user, resp. the buyer indicates his unreserved agreement with
  102. these  license  conditions by installing,  buying  or  using  the
  103. software.
  104. If the buyer does not agree with the conditions he is required to
  105. stop using the software immediately and destroy all copies of the
  106. software.

  108. The   technical  support  for  the  software  bought   from   the
  109. distributor  is  provided via electronic mail  at  the  following
  110. address: <support@winproxy.cz>.The latest information is provided 
  111. on the web site http://www.winproxy.cz/ . If the software is sold 
  112. by a dealer, the dealer is  responsible for  giving any technical 
  113. support. Being  provided the  technical  support  and  favourable
  114. upgrades  to further versions  of  the software is conditioned on
  115. filling-in the details  of the end user via the registration card 
  116. or the  online registration form at http://www.winproxy.cz/
