  1. MakeMaze Helpfile.

  3. MakeMaze is a quick utility to create new mazes (MAZE.XXX) for Chomper.
  4. Use MakeMaze is pretty simple...  the below layout gives the key definitions.

  6.                         F1      =  Chomper
  7.                         F2      =  Ghost
  8.                         SPACE   =  Space (Dot)
  9.                         X, B    =  Block (Wall)
  10.                         DEL     =  Clear Current Maze
  11.                         L       =  Load a Maze
  12.                         F10     =  Save Current Maze
  13.                         ESC, Q  =  Quit w/o saving
  14.  
  15.                   Arrow Keys and/or Num Pad move cursor

  17. A few notes:
  18.  
  19.   First and foremost.  ONLY use MakeMaze to create/edit mazes!  Using
  20.   another program (Edit, WorkPad, etc.) could cause problems.  The
  21.   MAZE.* files MUST be exactly 966 bytes in size.
  22.  
  23.   You can have a maximum of 999 mazes.
  24.  
  25.   MakeMaze does NOT check the maze you have created for holes, etc. so
  26.   make sure Chomper will be able to get to ALL dots, otherwise you will
  27.   have a maze that cannot be completed.

  29.   You MUST place a Chomper (F1) and four Ghosts (F2).  Any excess Chompers
  30.   and/or Ghosts will be ignored and treated as a dot.  MakeMaze does NOT
  31.   check to insure that a Chomper and 4 Ghosts exist.
