  4.              Trojan program with accompanying 'shareware'
  5.              docs.  It is for educational purposes only
  6.              and illustrates many of the characteristics
  7.              of an effective Trojan program.

  10.              The COMPUFON Trojan is a full-featured auto-dialer 
  11.              and phonebook.  It is memory resident and
  12.              pops up its window by pressing Alt-right-Shift.
  13.              It will accept all the parameters described
  14.              in the docs and does, in fact, store phone
  15.              numbers and dial them according to its set-up. 
  16.              However, once asked to dial a phone number, COMPUFON 
  17.              overwrites the systems areas of all the drives 
  18.              on a given machine BEFORE dialing.

  20.              Therefore, consider it quite capable of irretrievably
  21.              spoiling the valuables on any IBM-compatible system.

  23.              Alert readers will notice COMPUFON's similarity to
  24.              Jeff Prosise's Ziff-Net utility, PC-Dial. Indeed, this
  25.              is so and illustrates how published code is easily
  26.              corrupted by the virus/trojan programmer into 
  27.              convincing, yet very damaging software.
  28.              Do not use COMPUFON to dial a number unless you are 
  29.              prepared to restore all your present software from
  30.              back-up.

  33.              text included, consider the file armed and dangerous.
