- StarFlare Texture
- Type: Color, Filter.
-
- This texture creates a star shaped lensflare out of a bright plane.
- The z-axis of the texture is the direction of the light, so when the
- z-axis is pointing straight at the camera, the flare is the most intense.
- You could make a spotlight, add a BRIGHT plane at the position of the
- lightsource (with the z-axis pointing in the same direction as the
- lightsource) add this texture and you have a real working starflare.
- Of course you don't have to add it to a lightsource, just add it
- anywhere, also it doesn't have to respond to the camera, just
- experiment.
-
- Requester:
-
- Star Radius: Outer radius of the lensflare when z-axis is
- aimed at the camera.
- Center Radius: Center radius when aimed at the camera.
- Number of points: How many points the star has.
- Fade (0..1): Intensity of flare when aimed at the
- camera. (1 is transparant).
- Radial fade (0..1): Radially attenuates the flare to make it
- less hard.
- Edge Red, Green, Blue: Color at edge of flare.
- Star Radius 2: Outer radius at Max. Angle or higher.
- Center Radius 2: Inner radius at Max. Angle or higher.
- Fade 2 (0..1): Flare intensity at Max. Angle or
- higher (1 is transparant).
- Max. Angle (0..180): Angle with camera at wich the flare takes
- on the second set of parameters.
-
- sample object: Primitive plane
- (with perpendicular z-axis, pointing to front).
