  19. Use of the Shell, WorkBench and AmigaDOS are all documented in your
  20. system manuals as supplied with your machine.  Learning about these
  21. makes life with your Amiga infinitely less frustrating.

  24. To change the default text reader <if you haven't got a keyboard>, look in
  25. the 'ToolAlias' drawer, click on the ToolAlias program to start it, and
  26. select 'Use'.

  52. DemoCD Copier 
  53. -------------
  54. The DemoCD Copier is a program that installs the demo disks found in
  55. your DemoCD on to a floppy disk.  It requires an external floppy disk
  56. drive on an Amiga CDTV, A570 owners have DF0: built in their A500.
  57.  
  58. Here's how to use it:
  59.  
  60. Using the scroll bar on the right of the window find a demo you want to
  61. install to disk.
  62.  
  63. Then click on the demo name to select it and then click on one of the disk
  64. drives gadgets at the top called (DF0:,DF1:,DF2:,DF3:) in order to select
  65. a disk drive to be used.
  66.  
  67. If you only have one floppy disk drive attached to your machine, use DF0:
  68.  
  69. Now please put a floppy disk in the drive, please note you DO NOT have to
  70. format the floppy disk first.
  71.  
  72. n.b.  MAKE SURE THE DISK YOU ARE ABOUT TO USE DOES NOT CONTAIN IMPORTANT
  73.       DATA BECAUSE THE COPIER WILL OVERWRITE EVERYTHING THAT IS ON IT
  74.       REGARDLESS OF WHAT IT IS.

  76. You will now see a window showing you the disk about to be made and
  77. whether you are sure to go ahead or not.
  78.  
  79. Once you clicked on "YES WAY!" please wait for the disk to be made for you.
  80.  
  81. When the disk has been made you may or may not get an error message from
  82. workbench saying something like "KEY 880 CHECKSUM ERROR".
  83.  
  84. IGNORE THE MESSAGE, YOUR DISK IS OK, IT'S JUST THAT MOST DEMOS DO NOT USE
  85. THE SAME KIND OF DISK FORMAT AS WORKBENCH DOES.

  87. Now, if you want to see the demo simply put the demo in your disk drive
  88. and reset your machine.
  89.  
  90. Please note, not all demos will run on every Amiga system.
