  6. TaskMan is not just another simple replacement of Windows' task manager,
  7. but a powerful, easy to use tool with the following properties:

  9. -stays on top until you close it (configurable)
  10. -updates the tasklist automatically
  11. -lets you configure its tasklist to exclude tasks from being displayed
  12. -lets you start programs via Windows standard file selector
  13. -points out DOS tasks as such
  14. -shows you untitled windows on demand
  15. -unloads DOS tasks immediately on demand
  16. -lets you terminate applications nicely of abruptly
  17. -shows the modulelist with all currently loaded tasks and DLLs,
  18.  also shows the reference counts and the names of the disk files
  19. -lets you unload DLLs from memory (interresting for programmers)
  20. -shows special taskinfo, i.e. task-, windows- and instancehandle,
  21.  classname, window text, local and global heap info
  22. -lets you exit Windows, restart Windows or boots your system
  23. -local menu via right mouse button in the tasklist to manipulate the window of
  24.  the selected task (Hide, Show, Iconize, Maximize, Restore)
  25. -supports Microsoft 3d control library CTL3D.DLL
  26. -provides extensive contextsensitive help system via F1

  28. Of course, TaskMan does all the things the Windows' task manager does.
