  1. Spic51.zip, Spic52.zip, & Spic53.zip contain the March release of Nutmeg32 & Spice32 for 
  2. Windows NT and Windows 3.1, plus the Win32s subsystem.  The Win32s subsystem allows 32 bit Windows NT 
  3. programs to run on a Windows 3.1 system.  If you run setup, this subsystem will be installed
  4. on your Windows 3.1 system, along with my Spice32 and Nutmeg32 programs.

  6. Spice41.zip contains:
  7. The Nutmeg32 & Spice32 executables, help files & example circuits.
  8. After a "pkunzip -d spic51.zip", these files will be in the disk1 directory.

  10. Spice42.zip contains:
  11. The install files for Windows NT and Windows 3.1
  12. After a "pkunzip -d spic52.zip", these files will also be in the disk1 directory.

  14. Spice43.zip contains:
  15. Additional install files for Windows 3.1
  16. After a "pkunzip -d spic53.zip", these files will be in the disk2 directory.

  18. If You're Installing to a Windows 3.1 system:
  19. Download all three zip files.
  20. Do a "pkunzip -d *.zip" to your hard disk
  21. Run setup from the disk1 directory
  22.  
  23. If You're installing to an NT system (I highly recommend):
  24. Download Spic51.zip and Spic52.zip.  (Spic53.zip contains the Win32s files, which
  25. aren't needed for WIndows NT)
  26. Do a "pkunzip -d *.zip" to your hard disk
  27. Run setup from the disk1 directory
  28.  
  29. If you're running Windows NT, but just want to expand the files without installing, Just
  30. download Spic51.zip, do a "pkunzip spic51.zip" & run exspice.bat to expand the files.

  32. If you're running nutmeg32 in Windows NT, you can generate a data base directly from
  33. Nutmeg32's file menu.  NOTE!!! If you are using Windows 3.1, you'll have to generate the 
  34. database by running spice32 seperately from nutmeg32.  (For now, due to a bug in Win32s)

  36. Win32s is in Beta, so you'll want to get a fresh version of Win32s when it's released.

  38. To uninstall:
  39. 1.  Remove the windows\system\win32s directory
  40. 2.  Remove the win32app\nutmeg32 directory
  41. 3.  Delete the windows\system\w32sys.dll, olecli.dll, & combo.dll files
  42. 4.  Rename windows\system\olecli.w31 to olecli.dll
  43. 5.  Remove the windows\system.ini line in [386Enh]:
  44.     device=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WIN32S\W32S.386
  45.  
  46. You may copy the shareware version and post wherever you desire, but not for profit.
