  15. There are two possibilities how to install the Windows drivers:
  16.  
  17.     1) Using the Windows SETUP program (standard installation)
  18.     2) Using the SPEA V7SETUP (quick installation, update)
  19.  
  20. 1) Via the Windows SETUP Program (Standard Installation)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------
  22.     Exit Windows and start the program SETUP from the windows directory, 
  23.     choose at DISPLAY "Others", insert the new disk in the corresponding 
  24.     drive and press RETURN. Now follow the instructions given by the 
  25.     Windows SETUP program.

  28. 2) Via the SPEA V7SETUP (Quick Installation, Updating An Older 
  29.    SPEA BigWin Driver)
  30. ---------------------------------------------------------------
  31.     Only if you use  the standard VGA driver:
  32.     Start Windows and choose at the Program Manager:
  33.             PROGRAM-RUN
  34.     and type B:\V7SETUP.

  37. Note:    Updating any existing drivers via SPEA V7SETUP the program SPEAview
  38. =====    will not be installed automatically. Please refer the MicroSoft 
  39.          Windows documentation about information how to integrate this 
  40.          program into the program manager.

  42. Note:    The BigWin driver uses VESA in some resolutions modes as well.   
  43. =====    So, if VESA support is required, a small memory resident program
  44.      should be executed. 
  45.      Copy from this disk the program V7MERVBE.EXE on your harddisk and
  46.      insert the program call in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

  52.     1) During first installation the driver will be installed with the 
  53.     lowest possible refresh rate at the chosen resolution.
  54.     If you use a high-class multi-sync monitor and you choose a
  55.     resolution 1024x768 and above, synchronisation problems may occur.
  56.     To prevent this, please choose at first the resolution
  57.     640x480. Afterwards you can change to the preferred resolution and
  58.     refresh rate with the utility V7SETUP, witch appears automatically 
  59.     after starting Windows.
  60.     
  61.     2) While installing the Windows drivers, you may be prompted for the
  62.      "V7-MIRAGE Driver for Windows disk" and the drive A:\ will be
  63.      displayed. When this happens, enter "B:\" if this diskette is in the
  64.      B: drive.  
  65.      If "Problem with disk drive A:" message is displayed, and the 
  66.      installation disk is in drive B:, press ESC twice, and re-enter "B:"
  67.      in the space provided.
  68.      The cause for these inquiries is a Microsoft WINDOWS routine.

  70.     3) Installing graphical drivers for Windows and Virus Check Programs
  71.      Virus check programs, such as the DOS 6.0 internal one, which search
  72.      for changes at *.exe and *.com files, detect changes at the file
  73.      win.com after installing the SPEA V7 BigWin driver. This is not a
  74.      virus, because while installing the driver, driver supplements will
  75.      be saved in this file.

  82.     1) The SPEA V7 BigWin Driver may not be used in 80286 based
  83.     systems. 
  84.  
  85.     2) VDD limitation:  Cannot execute any VGA graphics modes in a 
  86.     windowed mode. The XGA driver supplied by Microsoft has a similiar 
  87.     limitation.

  89.     3) True Color:
  90.     If you use more than 15 icons in one program group, a message will
  91.     tell you that not all symbols are converted correctly. These symbols 
  92.     will be displayed in black. This is caused by a Microsoft Program 
  93.     Manager limitation.
