  2.     MswLogo Version 1.2 for Micro-Soft Windows 3.X is ready !!!

  5. LOCATION: itrc::/millspub/mswlogo.zip (this is a DEC internal location)
  6.       simtel (some day)

  8. To Install it:
  9.  
  10. 1) UnZip MSWLOGO.ZIP into a directory (e.g. c:\logo)
  11.  
  12. 2) UnZip LOGOLIB.ZIP (included in MSWLOGO.ZIP) into LIB (e.g. c:\logo\lib)
  13.  
  14.    Note:  If you do not use c:\logo as the root you must set the
  15.           environment variable LOGOPATH to where you put it (e.g.
  16.           set logopath=d:\games\logo in autoexec.bat)
  17.  
  18. 3) Start Windows and add Icon as follows:
  19.  
  20.    a) Select the applications (or other) icon box.
  21.  
  22.    b) Go into Program manger FILE menu and click on New.
  23.  
  24.    c) Select Program Item and click OK.
  25.  
  26.    d) Enter the command for logo (e.g. c:\logo\logo).
  27.  
  28.    e) Include a working directory (e.g. c:\logo\work) or you'll have ".lg"
  29.       files all over the place.
  30.  
  31. Start it from Windows by double clicking the Logo Icon
  32.  
  33. Start it from DOS by typing "win logo" at DOS prompt (assuming logo.exe
  34. is in your PATH).
  35.  
  36. Try typing "DEMO" at the "*" prompt (out of bounds at end of demo is normal).
  37.  
  38. New features/bugs fixed:
  39.  
  40.    o Back to non-bitmapped screen refresh due to memory hogging.
  41.      It now uses less memory than even version 1.0. So some small
  42.      system owners that had problems with 1.0 or 1.1 you could try 1.2.
  43.  
  44.    o Save and restore now uses Windows MetaFiles which is compatible
  45.      with some othe windows applications.
  46.  
  47.    o Supports Text on work area with selectable fonts, color, size
  48.      and angle. See "textdraw" in help.
  49.  
  50.    o Scrollers where not set up correctly after the screen was resized by
  51.      user. They are correct now.
  52.  
  53.    o Version 1.1 and lower had a limit of 64K bytes of vector data.
  54.      The limit is now based on how much virtual memory you have.
  55.  
  56.    o Help is now windows 3.0 compatible.

  62.    o Floodfill (except printing, still working on this)

  80.    o Some printers (maybe all) will not handle floodfills.
  81.      I beleive I will have it fixed soon.

  83.    o DO NOT EXIT MswLogo by "Closing" the "Commander" window. It will not
  84.      free resources. Use File-Exit on "Screen" window.

  86. If someone with a standard 3.0 windows system could check functionality
  87. it would be very helpful.

  102. Museum and Lincoln Sudbury Regonal High School. The Port to Windows was done

  106. There is also a DOS version (with out the added functionality added to MswLOGO)
  107. is available. If anyone is interested let me know. Does not work on Herc
  108. monitors.
