If I was going to judge this shot, I'd stand up behind the shot, judge the perspective, see the angle of the pot. Then and only then would I get down and line the shot up exactly with a picture of the position from high up in my mind. If I was to line the shot up from down here to start with, I would be very hard pushed to actually see the line and the angle of the shot.
