  16.      When young people write and ask how to prepare for a career in medicine,
  17. I find myself wishing that I could sit down with each one personally to
  18. discuss this important career decision.  Despite many of the changes that are
  19. current in medicine today, as with so much else in our lives, I don't know of
  20. any other career that could have brought me the personal satisfaction and
  21. inner rewards that my life in medicine has.  And so I have no reservations in
  22. recommending a similar career to others.
  23.      And now I have a new resource for all of the parents, grandparents and
  24. students themselves, to help provide the answer to their questions, and
  25. additionally indicate other publications that help in making the decision and
  26. preparing for medical education.  It is called "Considering a Career in Family
