  20. that interfere with day to day life.  These obsessive compulsive disorder
  21. (OCD) sufferers are tormented by obsessions; persistent unwanted thoughts or
  22. impulses.  They also can be haunted by compulsions; senseless repetitive
  23. behaviors, such as constant hand washing, repetitive door lock checking, hair
  24. pulling and more.  Some researchers now believe OCD is a physical rather than
  25. an "emotional" illness, and can be treated with medication.  A national
