A Resource About Canker Sore
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have never suffered from a fever blister, or a cold sore, or that
painful spot in your mouth that made it painful to eat or talk, you are indeed
a rare bird. More than 120 million Americans get canker sores every year, and
statistically that means that every family in the U.S. will have at least one
member suffer from these disorders. But there are tips to preventing canker
sores, ways of dealing with them, as well as things not to do. They are all
contained in a new leaflet. "Cold Sores, Fever Blisters, and Canker Sores"
offered by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The
Academy is the association of 8,000 physicians who specialize in treating
disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head and neck. For more information
about these pesky problems, request the new leaflet by sending a
self-addressed, stamped business envelope directly to : American Academy of
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, "Canker Sores", 1101 Vermont Avenue NW,
Suite 302, Washington, DC 20005. Its yours, free for the asking.
