  4. SchwarzWald is a Type 1 Postscript Display Font that is
  5. extremely bold and striking, resembling the letters of a
  6. German woodcut.  It's dedicated to Glummie, whose lettering
  7. it emulates (but doesn't equal!).

  9. You are welcome to install SchwarzWald, just drag the files
  10. SchwaWal and SchwarzWald.AFM into your system folder, and
  11. use the Font/DA mover (or Suitcase II etc.) to install the
  12. file SchwarzWald.bitmap into your system file.  Take a look
  13. at it, print some out, have fun with it.

  15. SchwarzWald is being distributed as SHAREWARE.  This allows
  16. you to try it out before you decide whether it's worth
  17. keeping.  If you keep it and use it, The Author (that's me)
  18. requests that you pay him $10 by check or money order in US
  19. funds.  If you are using it for commercial purposes, please
  20. pay $25.  When I receive and cash your check, you are
  21. granted a license to use SchwarzWald (the Author maintains
  22. the copyright).  If you don't like it, or don't feel it's
  23. worth $10 to you, drag it into the trash, or let your
  24. friends & associates take a look instead.

  26. You are free to distribute & upload SchwarzWald, provided
  27. that you keep all of these files (especially this one!)
  28. TOGETHER, ABSOLUTELY UNALTERED.  Please don't sell
  29. SchwarzWald or use it as an incentive to sell something
  30. else.

  32. If you feel too lazy/cheap/busy to send me a check, imagine
  33. how long it takes to make and refine a typeface, drawn
  34. completely de novo (i.e. without another typeface as a
  35. template).  Think how much you would have paid for a font
  36. like this retail. The more people respond favorably, the
  37. more incentive I'll have to make new and better typefaces,
  38. and support the one's I've made.  The shareware concept
  39. works, making better computing for all of us.  Thank you

  52. & handling.  Above is a chunky bitmap rendition of some of
  53. the special characters included.  EPS ``Art'', for
  54. custom-tailoring the font, and a wide variety of bitmap
  55. sizes also included.  Please specify that you want The
  56. "SCHWARZWALD FULL CHARACTER SET" with your check, and since
  57. I'm a one-man operation, allow me some time to get it out
  58. to you. (Start screaming at eight weeks) Other fonts are
  59. available as well, please ask for samples.
