Welcome to BURKS!
This CD contains a carefully chosen selection of resources taken
from the Internet, as well as some original material.
If you have a modem and you can connect to an Internet provider,
you'll be able to get from here to sites all over the world which store
vastly more information than I could possibly have fitted on a single CD.
Please remember that some links on this CD lead to external sites,
which you won't be able to access unless you do have an Internet
connection -- all that'll happen if you don't have an Internet
connection is that you'll get a message telling you that "the
server does not have a DNS entry" or some such, so don't panic.
Note:
this CD provides automated software installation facilities.
|
Whenever you see this symbol
it indicates that clicking on the associated link will install
some software onto your hard disk.
You can always cancel the installation process if necessary.
|
See About BURKS for more
information about installing software.
