Stolen Bike Archive - Story by Chris Finley

One night after dinner, at about 9:00PM, my sister and I went out for a ride. I was with my sis so I figured it would be just a nice easy spin around the city. We decided to ride down town to visit a friend who worked at a movie theater there. By now it was about 9:30 and the gangsta's were coming out to cruise. Anyway, we parked our bikes outside (without a lock) and went inside the first door. I was about two feet away from my bike and I was in clear site of whoever took it. I even still had my helmet on. while I was talking to this guy I turned around just in time to see the front tire disappear around the corne. At that exact same moment I took off running after the guy. I chased him down the alley and around the corner and down three more blocks before he lost me (all the while I was just pouring obsenities). After he lost me I went back and got my sister's bike to go looking for him, with the help of some other bikers I found along the way. As we rode by a hick bar we asked wome cowboy if he had seen the guy and he told he saw some guy like how we described him get hit by a car, but not badly enough that he couldn't ride away. That whole night all I could think about was how much I wanted to kick the shit out of the guy if I had caught him. I would have hit him a few times to knock him down, then I would have yelled a few times, "You want the bike bitch, take it!" Then I would have thrown it on him a few times for good measure. But I got some money from my insurance co. and with money I had by a new and better bike.
