PGetWidth

Gets the Set Width setting applied to the highlighted text.

Query results

This query returns a short value representing the percentage that width of highlighted characters is scaled (from 5.0 to 250.0; Normal width is 100.0) in tenths of a percent (100.0% = 1000).
Defining and editing styles. If you are defining or editing a style using the PStyleBegin command, PageMaker gets the Set Width setting for that style rather than for the selected text.

Multiple settings. If multiple characters are selected and they have different widths applied to them, PageMaker returns -2.

No insertion point. If the text does not contain the insertion point, PageMaker gets the default Set Width setting.

No text selected. If the text contains the insertion point but no text is selected, PageMaker returns the Set Width setting of the character preceding the insertion point. If the insertion point is before the first character of the story, PageMaker returns the Set Width setting of the first character.
