File attributes
Use this command to change file attributes for selected files.

Attributes:
The following attributes can be set for files:

Read only Files that are marked read only can be read,
but cannot be modified or deleted.

Archive The archive bit is set whenever you modify a
file. It is usually cleared by back-up
programs after a file has been backed up.

Hidden Hidden are not visible using the DOS DIR
                  command. The Commander identifies hidden
files with a # character between the name and
extension if the Show hidden files option
is checked in the Panel Options dialog box.

System System files are reserved for some DOS
files, such as IBMBIO.COM and IBMDOS.COM.

 Attribute options

Include subdirectories: check to specify that the
attributes are changed for all files in subdirectories.

only for files matching the filter specification.

Attributes are set or cleared by highlighting the attribute
  and pressing the space bar.
