F4, Shift+F4

 Edit loads the highlighted file into the Commander Editor, or
 the editor of your choice, if specified -- see note below.

Creating a file:
 To create a new file, press Shift + F4 and type in a name
 for the new file.

 Press Enter to create a new file.

   Notes:
     .  You can chose to use an external editor. Select Editor
        on the Configuration panel to do so.

     .  Press Shift + F4, or hold down the Shift key when you
        select this menu item, to specify the name of the file
        you want to edit.
