This command displays a directory tree where you can quickly
switch between directories, create, delete, and rename
 directories.

    Action Result
    -------- --------------------------------
Cursor keys Use the cursor keys to move around the
directory tree (also Home, End, PgUp, PgDn).

Enter Change to the highlighted directory.

    Esc Cancel NCD.

Speed Search As you type, the cursor will move to the
                  first directory matching the typed
                  characters. Press Ctrl+Enter to search
                  for the next match.

F2 Rescan the hard disk. The Commander keeps
the directory structure in a file called
                  "\treeinfo.ncd" for fast access. If
                  another program changes the directory
structure, you may need to use F2 to rebuild
                  the Commander's directory tree.

F6 Rename a directory. Press F6, type in the
new name (or edit the old name) and press
                  Enter.

F7 Mkdir - create a new directory. The
directory will be created below (to the
                  right of) the cursor bar.

F8 Delete - delete the highlighted directory.
You can only delete an empty directory.

 ------------------------------------------------------------

Note: The directory tree is stored in \treeinfo.ncd on
each disk for fast access. The Commander updates this
file when you create, rename and delete directories
          using the Norton Commander.
