4 Upgrading from SuperOffice 3.x or 2.5 (ODBC or C-tree)
to SuperOffice 4.0 for Microsoft SQL Server

Upgrading from SuperOffice 3.x or 2.5 C-tree to SuperOffice 4.0 in a Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 environment is done in 5 steps:

  • Upgrade SuperOffice 3.x or 2.5 C-tree to SuperOffice 4.02 C-tree.
  • Install the SQL Server
  • Configure the SQL Server
  • Install the ODBC client
  • Convert from C-tree to SQL-Server

All steps have to be done in this order, or the installation will fail.

4.1 Upgrade SuperOffice 3.x or 2.5 C-tree to SuperOffice 4.02 C-tree.
This is a standard procedure described in the SuperOffice 4.0 User Guide. When the upgrade is done as described in the user guide and you can log on to SuperOffice 4.02, continue with the next step.

4.2 Install the SQL Server
