K-Value System
The K-value system allows players to earn different amounts of ratings points based on the type of event they are participating in. In Magic Online, only events in the Premier Events and Sanctioned Tournaments rooms have a K-value. You can find the K-value of each event in the listings in each room.

Events with higher K-values allow players to accumulate more ratings points when they do well within these events. For example, a player who gains 30 ratings points in a tournament with a K-value of 16 would earn 60 points in a tournament with a K-value of 32.

Events in the Premier Events room tend to have a higher K-value than ones in the Sanctioned Tournaments room.

All queue tournaments in Magic Online have a K-value of 16.

Other events can have a K-value of up to 48.
