	Premier Events

The Premier Events icon is found in the Main Room. Premier events are planned farther in advance than most tournaments in the Sanctioned Play room, and some have better prizes. All tournaments held in the Premier Events room are sanctioned. See Tournaments for information about joining a tournament.

Premier events will be advertised in the chat area of the Magic Online tab, as well as in the Premier Events room. Only moderators can set up premier events.

Premier events include regularly scheduled weekly tournaments, as well as the following special events:

Championships
Some events are so exclusive that players must meet certain requirements before they can sign up. You can qualify for a Championship either by having a high Magic Online rating or by winning a Qualifier event. Championship events always have large prizes.

Qualifiers
Qualifier tournaments are open to all players. The prize for a high finish in a Qualifier includes an invitation to a specific Championship tournament. Each Championship will have several Qualifiers, and you can play in as many Qualifiers for the same Championship as you want.

Prerelease Tournaments
Prerelease tournaments are held shortly before the release of each new Magic expansion. The format for each Prerelease tournament is Sealed Deck using the new product. Prerelease events are open to all players.
