A site is a storage location for the documents belonging to a web site. Sites can reside on local or remote servers. To get started in Dreamweaver, you must first create a local site. See Creating a local site.
Once the local site is created, use links to connect to documents within your site, to documents on remote sites, or to e-mail addresses or scripts. See Creating links
To help you manage your site, Dreamweaver displays site content as either a list of files or a site map. You can use the site map to quickly create and view prototypes of your web sites. See Working with site files and Creating site maps.
