VisualRoute 2005

VisualRoute 8
VisualRoute 8 can obtain vital IP information to help trace hackers and spammers, validate Web sites and identify the location and owner of an IP address. Previously sold for $US49.95, it is free for PC User readers this month, thanks to Visualware.

VisualRoute 8 uses unique IP location technology to identify the physical location of servers and routers, and can gather enough data to file a subpoena and use the evidence in a court of law. Features include integrated traceroute, ping tests, reverse DNS and Whois lookups, and the application provides three types of data: an overall analysis, a data table and a geographical view of the routing. By combining multiple network diagnostic tools in one easy to interface, you get a complete picture of connectivity performance. VisualRoute 8 works seamlessly with eMailTrackerPro (featured on the February 2005 PC User cover CDs) to trace an email address to its email server and identify the source of emails.
