Choose your news server. Microsoft has established its own publicly available news server carrying a wide range of newsgroups dedicated to Microsoft products -- there's plenty of good advice, lively discussions and support from fellow users.

Easy read. Microsoft Internet News is an exceptionally capable newsreader for Windows 95, with the same look and feel as Internet Explorer and Internet Mail. Note the URL in this message is highlighted in blue: click this and your Web browser will be launched onto that site.

Switch servers. Another useful feature of Internet News is the ability to be configured for and easily switch between several news servers so you can read groups not normally available through your ISP.

Go offline. Microsoft Internet Mail also supports offline reading -- a great way to cut through much of the rubbish on newsgroups and save your online dollars at the same time.
