Using this CD

PC Authority cover CDs are written in HTML - in order to use this CD a 32 bit Web browser such as Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape Navigator is required.

All software featured this month is contained within this CD which means you do not have to go online to install any of the programs. There are however links to the Web that we have provided as online references. To use these simply connect to the Internet and follow the links online.

When installing software from this CD please read the license agreements carefully and honour their terms and conditions of use. With any problems or questions you have with a particular program you have installed you should contact the distributors directly. Before installing any software from the CD, you should back up any important system and data files. It is not advisable that the software contained on this CD is installed on production machines.

The CD contents will load up within a browser interface. It should automatically run as soon as you insert the CD into your drive.

We have made installing software as easy as possible for you. Wherever possible we have unzipped all files and created direct links for installation. Simply click on the blue install hyperlink to install any program. A "File Download" window will open.

In most cases the option to choose is to 'Run this program from its current location', unless otherwise specified. Any special installation instructions required, will also be detailed.
