public class ContentView

extends javax.swing.JPanel

The ContentView (one per opened node in a Browser) contains the tabs that appear at the bottom of the content pane - one for each registered NodeViewerFactory that 'accepts' this ContentView's node, and returns a NodeViewer instance to represent it.

The NodeViewerFactory list is scanned during each ContentView instance's constructor to determine the NodeViewerFactories that are interested in supplying viewers for the specific Node. This means that NodeViewerFactories registered after a ContentView has been instantiated will never be displayed in that ContentView. Any subsequently constructed ContentViews (one per opened Node in the ContentManager per Browser) will include the newly registered NodeViewerFactories in their scan, and thus may display it (if it accepts their Node).

The ContentView is a 'hidden' piece of the Browser architecture, so none of its methods are public. The ContentView does manage the master list of registered NodeViewerFactory classes, but you must use the public static Browser methods to register any NodeViewerFactory classes: Browser.registerNodeViewerFactory(NodeViewerFactory factory) Browser.registerNodeViewerFactory(NodeViewerFactory factory, boolean asFirst)
