Dion Gillard's Visual NetRexx Alpha 2 release is now available [11 Mar 1998] The SHARE conference with nine popular NetRexx sessions ended in Anaheim, CA, on 27 February. Current release NetRexx 1.142 is the NetRexx reference implementation for Java 1.1 and Java 1.2. This release will only run correctly on a Java 1.1 (or later) platform. [1 Sep 1998] (A NetRexx for Java 1.0.x is still available.) NetRexx 1.142 supports minor (inner) classes (see the new Buttons sample), trace var, compressed class libraries ('jar files'), serialization of all Rexx objects, internationalization, adapter classes (see the new Scribble sample), comment pass-through, binary methods, hexadecimal and binary number notation, enforcement of explicit declarations, and many other improvements.
