When the user opens the CD again having performed the update the content
has been changed to reflect the latest update:
The vault file has now disappeared and been replaced by the ACMEs problem history database. Because of SoftCD's encryption the IT manager does not have to worry about this sensitive information falling into the wrong hands. If the CD, or even the laptop and CD, is lost or stolen whoever finds it will be unable to findor access this database.
From the field engineer's perspective the database will now always be available when they enter the password - even if no connection to the Internet is possible. Once updated the CD will remain updated withoutn further need for connection, except to retrieve future updates to keep the information in step with the latest data.
