The Timesheet Grid is designed to make the task of entering information as quick and easy as possible by the people doing the work. Users often consider entering timesheets an unwelcome task. The Timesheet Grid can insulate a user who will use Timesheet for only a few minutes each week from the complexity of the system. It presents information in a predefined format specifically selected to be relevant to the resource. For this reason, the Project or Activity information for the resource is shown down left hand side of the main grid (whichever option has been specified in the Own Default Settings for the current resource). This means that once a cell has been selected for data entry only one further criterion (Project or Activity) needs to be entered.

The Timesheet Grid displays the current week as the default entry range. Days are displayed across the top of the grid and a column down the left hand side of the page lists the Projects (or activities) that the resource will log time against. The grid also displays totals for time, cost and charge at the bottom of the page and down the right hand side of the page.
Note: Options specified in the Default Settings page determine whether it is projects or activities displayed for a resource. However, should you wish to view projects (if the default grid is set to activity) simply press the switch grid button to toggle between the two options.
